If you are creating a resume for which you are applying for employment within a specific type of industry, then you must ensure that your resume is distinctly designed with this industry in mind. Failing to do so would render your entire resume absolutely ineffective when compared to other potential candidates who are submitting their own resumes for the same jobs. If you want to compete with the "big dogs" in your chosen line of work, then you must go out of your way to excel when it comes to the presentation and layout of your industry specific resume.
You do not need to add every little detail about your education right from high school to graduation. No employer wants to know what you studied in your high school. Just give a brief outlook about your education and mention only those subjects that you think are associated with the job profile. Leave out your marks if you want as most employers are not interested in your marks but the skills that you have for the job.
However, employers are not impressed by what you want; instead they need to be sold on what you can do for them. Lead off your executive resume with brand-focused statements of value that show employers how they gain from bringing you on board. More importantly, demonstrate that you are a money maker not just a money taker.
