Tip #1 - Make it Readable - One very important tip for creating a resume that will stand out among the rest is to make it easily readable. Make sure that your resume is no more than a couple pages long, otherwise employers may just skip over your resume if it is too long. You should also be sure that you use a font that is large enough to be easily read. If the employer has to strain their eyes to see your resume, they may just bypass it for one that is more easily read.
Add numbers to add punch. Youve heard it a hundred times but it still holds true. The more you quantify your achievements the more impact it has on an employer. Include percentages, dollar amounts, anything that will make the reader stop and really read about your accomplishment.
If you work in a creative industry, like media, event planning, app development, advertising or even architecture, take some creative license and showcase your style and what you bring to the table. You can imbed videos, a link to your personal website or online portfolio, anything really, as long as it showcases your creative genius.
