Senior Day Battle

Hard to believe this is going to be Jermaine’s final home game, I still remember his sophomore days – with Shan Foster dominating from long range, and AJ Ogilvy dominating the post as only a freshman… Man, the season just come and go, don’t they?

Well, let’s get to tonight. South Carolina has had a unsuccessful, disappointing season this year. That being said, there is always the Devan Downey threat that you have to worry about. And you have to understand, he is going to get his points regardless of how good your defense is. What you have to do is contain him – not stop him, just contain him.

South Carolina has something to worry about, too. That’s Jermaine Beal. Personally, I think he’s going to go off on Senior Day. He want’s to make a final impression on the home crowd.

The fact of the matter is, we are better than South Carolina – especially at home. As long as nothing crazy happens, we should win.

Our dores played very lackluster today- passes were very soft and hustle was not there. It was obvious SC wanted the game more. But with a share of the SEC on the line – they will have to be hungrier and play with more desire and spirit or they will be one and done in the tourney.

it was obvious- they were out hustled to the ball and play with in decision. If I had been the coach- I would have benched everybody but Beal and played the game with the benxh and told the starters to get their head in the game or they dont play.

    I hope he hears this

Well Tom, that sounds like a pretty agressive way to send a message to the players… I like it.

You know the bench is always going to be ready to play – so they wouldn’t go out there half-effort like the starters did in the second half. I think benching them would’ve been a smart move.
